Our Story
Founded in 1988 by the late Dr Norman Ritchie, Rumbol Products Ltd is a British manufacturing business based in Clydebank, Scotland, specialising in the production of cutting-edge bolus technology for ruminants.
Following a decade of research and development in the 1980’s, spearheaded by Dr Ritchie – a senior lecturer in veterinary animal husbandry at the University of Glasgow – and his colleagues, Rumbol’s unique and original bolus product was created.
In 1988 Rumbol Products was launched, and to date, over 40 million boluses have been produced to support livestock and farm businesses around the globe.
Our original single piece bolus, using single point erosion technology, remains at the forefront of Rumbol Products to this day, offering a reliable and continuous release of trace elements and vitamins for up to eight months.
In addition, our longstanding manufacturing expertise has given us the ability to produce quick-acting instant boluses and whole surface erosion boluses for multiple species.
